Utilities

I have a new IPad 10.2-8th generation. I can't find Utilities anywhere. I want to set up a hidden folder for images, and I need utilities. I looked in Apps. Thanks

With the Photos App open, the Sidebar will likely be open by default - as from here you can select specific Photo Albums. If the sidebar is not visible, you should find a small icon at the extreme top-left of the screen - just below the time and date; tap this icon to reveal the Sidebar.

As a newcomer to iPad and iPadOS, you may find the iPad User Guide for iPadOS to be a rich source of information. Here are links to both the downloadable and online versions of the Guide:

Further to my replies of yesterday, describing how and where to find the Utilities section of the Photos sidebar, I have been looking further into the Photo Hidden Folder option...

There appears to be a bug in iPadOS 14.3 (it may exist in earlier versions as well). Despite being enabled, the Hidden Folder does not appear in Photos! By contrast, this feature operates as expected in iOS 14.3 for iPhone.

I recommend that you submit a bug report to Apple using the product feedback page - ensuring that you include the iPad model and installed version of iPadOS in the body text of your report.
