Apple Watch pairing

I bought an Apple Watch from my friend, but I can’t get it to connect to my phone. It’s asking for her iCloud username and password even though she disconnected it from her apple account and her phone account. I’ve reset it about 10 times now, but nothing is changing. How do I get it to take my iCloud account?
