Calendar Week Numbers Start Date Adjustment

Hello,

This year, 2021, is a difficult one to navigate for those that need to use Calendar weeks.

In short, I need CW01 of 2021 to start on January 3rd in my IOS Calendars.

Since January 1st was on a Friday, Apple is using the Gregorian Calendar to call Sunday, December 27th through Saturday, January 2nd Calendar Week 1. Outlook has used the same time as Calendar Week 53 of 2020- which is what my company is using.

Furthermore, Friday 12/26/21 - Saturday 1/1/22 will be calendar week 01 for 2022, which is also going to be a problem. 2022 will carry the "Calendar Week 53"

Instead of having the read my calendar and adding 1 to the calendar week for the next 2 years, is there a way to update this? I really don't think that I want to wait until 2023 for the issue to resolve itself until the issue arises again in 2027.

I work for one of the largest companies in the world, so I know that I am not alone in this issue.

My question is simply if I can have the main calendar used on my phone be the same as the main calendar that I have to use for work. If the answer is no, then the answer is no but I would suggest that this option be included.
Essentially, as far as programming goes, I want the Calendar Week 1 to include the first Thursday of the year. I believe that is all that needs to be added to the calendar options in setup.

To the best of my knowledge, it's not possible to make the adjustments in the calendar that you're seeking. You can certainly let Apple know it's something you'd like to see here:

I don't know that Apple will have a solution. You should chose the tool that best meets your needs. And, if, right now, that's not the included Calendar app, well, there are tons of other options.

Presumably, the information your wife sends you will include actual dates that will enable you to put things in your calendar accurately. I don't understand why your gender is relevant.

Thank you for the feedback.

This does not resolve the issue; it actually only complicates it more. I do not want my calendar to start on Friday through Thursday.

I want my calendar to reflect 53 weeks in 2020, and 52 weeks in 2021, then 52 weeks in 2022.

As of now, Apple only allows 52 weeks in 2022, 52 weeks in 2021, and 53 weeks in 2022.

Friday - Thursday (not Helpful)

Current (only 52 weeks in 2020)

Mircosoft Outlook (as reference for desired solution)

Yes, but I would hope that Apple's solution is not "use Microsoft." Either way, Outlook calendar and Apple Calendar will not match up.

My wife will send me a blocker via Apple that we are going to go on a cruise in February 2022, which I will see as CW05 in 2022. I will plan meetings in CW04 and CW06 2022 in Outlook, accidentally making a mess of the whole thing because I am only a man. Then my wife will go on a cruise with a girlfriend in my place and find some man or woman that is much more organized than me and I will have no one else to blame but myself - so I will blame Apple instead because, well, I am only a man. :)

Your are right, it was a bad joke.

My question is simply if I can have the main calendar used on my phone be the same as the main calendar that I have to use for work. If the answer is no, then the answer is no but I would suggest that this option be included.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
