Apple Watch on not supported carrier

I’ve been reading other people’s questions and am still confused as to what I would be able to do on an Apple Watch series 3 gps version if I the carrier doesn’t support Apple Watch.

The Carrier does not even know you have a GPS only version Apple Watch. It is none of their business what accessories you attach to your iPhone.

Think of your GPS only Apple Watch as a fancy Bluetooth headset attached to your iPhone.

It does everything that the cellular version does,it just requires that you have to have the phone with you to be able to make calls and send texts.
