Discrepancy in storage warning from email to device status

I received an email indicating that I only have 1000 MB of storage on my iCloud account and need to upgrade. When I check the status of the devices on iCloud.com and on the devices, I have almost two Gigs. Anyone know why there's a discrepancy and if I really need to upgrade?

If you've already checked your iCloud storage - Check your iCloud storage usage online or on any device - Apple Support and confirmed that it's okay, then you can probably ignore the email.
