apple watch not syncing to fitness plus when selecting workout

I select workout on fitness plus and it tries to sync to my Apple Watch but never does. The bluetooth is on and my watch screen is unlocked but still does not sync.

Apple Watch series 3 not syncing with fitness Hi, my Apple Watch series 3 doesn’t sync with Apple Fitness +. I have wiped my Apple Watch and repaired twice to my iPhone 8. the message states that they needed to be connected via WiFi and Bluetooth and both are connected. My Apple Watch syncs data from my phone so I know it’s connected. Any resolution yet to this issue or is it a force you to upgrade your already compatible watch policy...? thanks

Make sure that your watch is updated to watchOS 7.2.
