Force phone to turn off?

I was trying to set up my iPhone 12 as a switch and now it is stuck on the lock screen. It won't let me log in or turn it off. The blue lines just keep running across the screen and I can use any of the buttons. I am so sorry I tried to do this.

Hi MarkSkar,

I spent over an hour with Apple help on the phone and we tried everything (mostly what I already had done) and nothing worked. So, I made an appointment (many days out) at the Genius Bar. Then, on a whim, I took it back to the Verizon store where I bought it. One employee knew what it was; an accessibility setting for blind people. He turned it off in a second. He said you turn this on by pressing the power button 3 times in a row and turn it off the same way. I haven't tried it, because I am afraid of getting my phone frozen up again... but that was my experience.

I hope you get yours fixed quickly!

Yes, there should be consequences for Johnathan Burger's behavior.

I have the same issue, did you figure it out? Jonathan Burger doesn't know what he's talking about and should be fired for this response. I didn't download anything either, I was trying to set up an auto clicker for an Apple licensed app I use, and now I can't do any of the suggested fixes because I can't touch the screen. Just blue lines. Keeps doing it after force reboot.
