Auto dimming

I just purchased the 12 pro max, and already I am having issues with the brightness on the phone changing on its own. I do NOT have auto brightness on or True Tone. Is there any way to fix this issue?

It dims even with auto-brightness OFF, True Tone OFF, power saver OFF, and phone NOT overheating. It has done this since first purchased. The phone has been turned on and off, and it has been updated. I want the brightness to stay at max brightness, but it simply won’t let me and always adjusts the brightness.

iPhone 12 Pro auto dimming with all setting turned off. My 12 auto dims to around 50% brightness even with all the settings for that turned off. I have accessibility - display and text size - auto-brightness turned off I have dark mode , night shift , True Tone turned off In display & brightness I have brightness turned all the way up and appearance on light mode. phone still auto dims. Is there another setting somewhere or is this phone broken ?

Auto brightness off in both brightness and accessibility, true tone off, phone not hot. Still dims. My 13 pro max keeps dimming to half brightness for seemingly no reason and i cant figure out why. All auto brightness settings are off, true tone is turned off, accessibility auto brightness settings are off, low power mode is off and its 40 degrees outside and my phone is cold. Can someone explain to me why my phone is still auto dimming to 50% randomly?

Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size for auto-brightness (At the bottom)

Settings > Display and Brightness for True Tone
