I purchased Final Cut Pro v10.0 way way back in 2011. I made the $299+tax purchase via the iTunes Store. Is there any chance this license lets me upgrade to the current FCP? I haven't needed anything more that iMovie for the past few years. Now, however, I find myself needing to do things that really require a proper editor.

Thanks Luis, indeed, it was purchased with an old (pre-email) Apple ID. I logged into the App Store with this and, voila, FCP is downloadable. (Kudos Apple for letting me update to the latest FCP even after a decade.)

The upgrade from 10.0 is free.
You just need to login to the App Store on your mac using the same Apple id used to make the purchase, click on your account and then click Download.
