Switching Find My location from iPhone to Macbook Air

When I go to Find My on my Macbook Air, go to People > Me > "i" Button, there is no option to share my location from my Macbook instead of my iPhone. In the past, I remember this option was located under "Edit Location Name" as "Use this Device" or something like that. I'm signed into the same Apple ID on both devices, and I'm updated to the latest software on both also. How do I fix this?

Hello Hy_ster,

It sounds like you are unable to share your location from your Mac. We understand how important this is to you and we are here to help.

Let's review all of the recommended steps outlined here: Share your location in Find My on Mac

Let's also verify your Location Services settings using this article: Allow apps to detect the location of your Mac

If the issue persist can you provide a few more details. Were you ever able to share your location from your Mac before? What is your exact macOS version? You can find this by going to the Apple Logo > About This Mac > Overview. Also, which MacBook Air are you currently using?

Cheers!
