Apple Watch 6 40mm bands too small

Why are the bands so small?

I bought the 40mm watch because it seems to be more professional than the 44mm watch but have been unable to wear it. It came with the regular sports band that was too tight and so I bought the size 9 solo loop which is the biggest in the 40mm case. I noticed that the 44mm version has loops up to size 12.

Is there any particular reason why the 40 band stops at size 9 while the 44mm band goes all the way to size 12? Can you point me to where I can get a size 12 band for the 40mm watch?
