Black background on iPhone X
My texts, and apps are showing up in black background with white writing. I checked the display in settings and it is set to Light. The folders are now a purple on my home screen.

We see you have some concerns about the colors of the apps/text you're seeing. We can understand the desire to have things look as you'd like them to. We'd be happy to help.
Based on the description, it sounds like you may have either Classic Invert or Smart Invert enabled. These can be found in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size. If either are enabled, try disabling them to see if that helps out.
