I am trying to factory reset my MacBook Pro. Able to restart, Command + R, erase disk utility...but then it shows there is only 120 GB of hd space when there should be a lot more. How do I fix?

If you are trying to perform a clean install of macOS, then erase the whole physical drive. Within Disk Utility click on "View" and select "Show All Devices" so that the physical drive appears on the left pane of Disk Utility. Here is an Apple article showing how to do this. Even though they show using Recovery Mode you can also use Internet Recovery Mode or a macOS USB installer.
