Double contacts

After upgrading my iMac to MacOS BigSur, myipad contacts are duplicated. How to stop this?

Contacts show many duplicates but does not find them when searching My iMac and iCloud show many duplicate contacts when I click on All Contacts. THey don't show up when I search for duplicates. Can't seem to get rid of them.

Contacts are duplicated Every one of my contacts in Mac Contacts are duplicated, but when I search for duplicates it doesn't find any. I am sure this somehow has to do with iCloud and the way contacts are being brought down into my Mac, but how do I fix it? They are NOT duplicated on iCloud or on my iPhone or IPad. I am running Mac OS Ventura 13.01.

Try - If you see duplicate contacts after setting up iCloud Contacts - Apple Support.
