Can I connect a CD (or DVD) player to my iPad Pro (fourth generation)

As far as connecting a CD or DVD player to your iPad, this isn't possible.

That being said, you can always add the music from your CDs to a computer with iTunes, or the Music app. From there, you have a few options to play that music from your iPad: Apple Music, iTunes Match, and Home Sharing over Wi-Fi. Of course, you always have the option of purchasing it from the iTunes Store. You can also purchase the movies from the iTunes Store on your iPad just like you can with music.
