MacBook Pro falters while using the program "Rekordbox"

Hello

I'm using a MacBook Pro (characteristics below) to perform as a DJ with the program "Rekordbox" from Pioneer. It worked fine for the last couple of years, but the last half year my MacBook Pro seemed unable to take it anymore after a few hours.

The music starts to falter and eventually becomes an audio-mess.

I have recorded an example, which you can check out by clicking here.

My estimate is that the program "Rekordbox" isn't the problem, but the MacBook Pro itself.

It seems that the system cannot handle the processing of the program anymore.

The system is very slow right after this happens and my MacBook Pro is making a lot of noise to cool itself down.

After a while (let's say 15 minutes), I can continue, but after a short wile, the problems reoccur.

I tested if the room temperature was to hot by doing a DJ set in a warehouse where it was fairly cold, and I came across the same problems.

What can be the solution to this problem?

Thanks!
