My new iPad Air front camera (so the small window showing me) flickers intermittently with purple horizontal lines, the other person on the end of the call also sees it on the window of me. Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve tried a hard reset of the iPad in case it was a software issue but that hasn’t solved it.

It was a hardware issue. I returned it through the apple support and they ran diagnostics and confirmed it was the hardware and sent a replacement product (I was within warranty).

sounds like a hardware issue with the camera, got a webcam that acts the same way
Thanks, I think so too. I’ve just chatted with Apple support, the diagnostics report and troubleshooting didn’t fix it so they have escalated, I have a call with a technician in a few days, will report back if we get it solved.
