Install Mac OS X Tiger

I would like to install tiger back on my iMac, Mid 2007, but its harder then i expected.

So i put a tiger iso on a usb,

Booted from the USB,

It booted into the system thats on there...

I deleted the system thats on there, Booted from the tiger installer, gray screen, command + v does nothing?

Any help?

iMac7,1, Intel Core 2 Duo, 3 GB RAM.

iMac 27" (late 2009) problem reinstalling Mac OS X Tiger OS I would like to use my old iMac 27" (late 2009) for very basic email and internet but I'm having a problem reinstalling Mac OS X Tiger OS using an install disc - which may just be an upgrade or from another apple computer, having owned 7 or 8 over the years and not the original boxed disc... I am more than happy to erase the 3Gb hard drive. I've tried downloading from the OS X Utilities page but after downloading I get another page stating "OS X could not be installed on your computer - No packages were eligible for install. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again." I have tried again and again but no joy... Do I have to find the original version OS disc that came with the computer and start from the beginning or can I download the original OS from Apple to a USB stick and boot from that? Also could you remind me how I boot up from a disc, hold down C or smoother combination of letter and buttons? [Personal Information Edited by Moderator]

How can I restore my 2011 21.5" iMac from my 2019 27" iMac? I screwed something up trying to clean up my old 2011 21.5" iMac. It is now gutted and without an OS. I can't get it to load the Lion boot disk I'd made and internet restore isn't working either (seems to be a common problem). I have a 2019 27" iMac running Catalina. The hardware tests say the 2011 is ok, so I don't think that's a problem. Can I get the 2011 running from the 2019? How? Help me Obi Wan(s). I also have a 2012 MacBook Pro running Mojave that I could use.
