Apple Mail in Big Sur - where did those flags go?
After "upgrading" to Mac Big Sur, Mail no longer shows a Flagged" column in the Inbox view. I can't find a way to restore it. Does anyone have a solution?

Well, after 4 chats/calls to Apple Support, a safe boot, a command r boot and being escalated to the super-duper tech level at Support, a very patient Apple person asked, “Have you right-clicked on the column header?” Can you guess what that does? Aaargh!

Oh my god! Just did it and saved a quarter. Sorry didn't see dialabrain's post since just started looking today. And now I know there's a super duper tech person. Don't know what a safe boot is. Wouldn't it be nice for him to share with his paid colleagues? You BOTH did A GOOD DEED!
Control click in the header and mark "Flags".
That's what I thought.
Mail > View menu > Show Column View. Once in Column View, click on the gray flag icon at the top of that column.
Thanks, but I'm trying to restore the column that displayed coloured flags next to the e-mail in the Inbox view. "No can find!"
I have the same problem and it's 1/28. None of the apple care sr advisors understand the issue either and seem to think it's not available on column view.
Why would they remove such a key visual we have used for years? Please explain. Thanks
I guess I don't know what anyone means. I have the flag column as I showed in my screen shot.
The flag shows only in email's body, not alongside the flagged email on the column list view
Mine's not. Mine is in a separate column.
I tried a screen shot. It didn't take. 😎
Sometimes, you have to put a quarter in it…
Hmmm. Guess who said that 17 days ago? 😎
So glad. Curious. How do you reach a super-duper tech Support person?!
