software update error can't

Software update macOS error occurred, screen stuck on Choose startup disk. Also when starting in Recovery mode saying password is incorrect when it is not, so use Apple ID to login then get this message, iCloud account unable to unlock this volume.

MacOS Update Error Cannot get out of install loop I’m trying to update and keep having to reboot after an error that says “An error occurred preparing the software update.” I can’t get out of this install loop. My guess is Hard Drive problems & you need to contact Apple.
