When you connect your iPhone and open a Finder window, choose your iPhone in the sidebar. Then on the right, do you have "Manually manage music, movies, and TV shows" selected? If not, choose that to see if the alert still appears.

It looks like no one has responded to your question. Here are a couple things that might help others answer your question:


  • Does this alert appear when searching for a particular file, or at random?
  • Are you using the new MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon, or an intel based Mac?


The more details you can provide the better.
