Book Payment Method Not Working

I have a balance on my iTunes account, but I am unable to access it to buy a book without entering another form of payment. Any solutions? Thanks :)

Some Thoughts:


I. Getting this to Work:

A. Zero-Out your Balance:

Are you in a different country/region? If you are now in a different country/region, than where you previously were, then you need to contact Apple Support. Have the Apple App Rep zero-out your balance. Once zeroed-out, all should go through.


B. Add a Second Method of Payment:

You need at least on other method of payment. So, add another method of payment, and it would work.


II. Why It May not be Working:

A. Non-Worldwide Available:

Not all purchases are available in all country/region. So, if you are looking to purchase it, and it is not allowing you to, then it may just be a matter of it being N/A to your country/region. Also, items are only playable in the location they were purchased in. It all has to do with licensing between Apple and the Developer.


B. Contact Apple Support:

The ultimate solution is to contact Apple Support for assistance with this. These are User-to-User forums. No one here has access to your Apple Account (and that is a good thing, BTW).

Why the Wait:

Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due do lots of

calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment,

with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the

line, and you will get through :)
