iPhone being throttled

I’m having an issue with my internet connection being throttled and have tried everything I know to figure out what’s going on. I’m getting the same results from a iPhone XS Max and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Both have been setup as new.

I have a DSL connection with 50 down and 5 up. For some reason, which is random, both phones will be throttled at 30 down. I have the same results from a Linksys EA7500 router and a Netgear R7000 router.

When the issue occurs I can unplug both the router and modem and router for a min or so and after everything is booted back up the issue is still there. The only way to get the speed back is to reboot the phone.

I’ve reset network setting many times but the issue returns.

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? This has been going on for awhile now and was hoping the 12 Pro Max would possibly not have this issue but does. Like I said, I even bought the Netgear router and the issue is still there.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I came across that article awhile back but there’s none of it that applies to my situation that I can tell. I’m 8’ from the router so signal strength isn’t an issue. And there are to fluorescent lights, etc so I don’t think there’s any interference. Any device that can use the 5GHz band I have it connected to that band.

Like I said, for whatever reason it’s a solid 30Mbps download throttle. There is very little fluctuating. Turn Bluetooth off and it’s back up to 50Mbps down.
