Camera not available on Mac Pro

My camera on my MacPro has quit working. No longer able to use it for any application that uses the camera. I have checked settings in mulitple areas, followed many tutorials, and the camera still shows it is not accessible. I have done a hard reset and nothing is changing. Is it possible that I moved or deleted part of the camera software without knowing? If so, is there a way to restore the camera?
