Probably a dumb question on iPad Pro keyboard
Why does the Magic Keyboard have a connection if it gets it's power from the iPad?

The USB-C connection on the Magic Keyboard is a pass-through power connection. When your Power Adapter is connected to the Magic Keyboard, it will charge the iPad.
Using the connection on the Keyboard is much tidier - and leaves the USB-C port on the iPad available for connection of other accessories or devices.
