iCloud photos
My spouse and I share an apple acct. we recently purchased more iCloud storage for photos. Now I have his pics on my phone and he has mine???? Is there a way to turn this off?

There is no option to prevent that if you are both using the same Apple ID and both have iCloud Photos turned on. Sharing an Apple ID is rarely a good idea.
You can each have your own Apple ID and still (if you want to) share selected things using Family Sharing: Family Sharing - Apple
