Iphone storage bug

How do you fix this problem? My iPhone storage is way too full. It's the "other" that's taking up so much space. I feel like its because of a certain app that I've had before, and after that I had to delete every one of my apps. I had to delete my pictures too and I only have 200. Is this really a storage bug? Can i fix it myself, do I have to get it fixed or do I have to get a new phone? I just got this phone new.
