M1 Blu - ray player!

I had all the same issues with my m1 mac mini and found an affordable solution with the macGo software. I paid $19.95 for a one year personal licence having downloaded the trial version to test and my external blu-ray and dvd drive played flawlessly. I saw things in Gladiator i even missed in the cinema. I have a 16 gb mac mini M1 with 256GB storage and I'm using a dell 27inch USB C monitor.

Hope this helps someone else as it did me.
