Shipment on Hold (DHL Singapore)

I have recently ordered an apple iPhone expecting that to be shipped from Manila, Philippines. But I found out later that it is being shipped from Singapore, with the given DHL tracking number the status of shipment is on hold for past 2 days. I just wanted to know if it is a matter to worry or need to give some time to see the changes? I am assuming it is getting delayed due to COVID issues. I did mail the DHL service and waiting to contact apple after sales support to make sure there is no issues with the shipping.

You will have tracking details updated everyday so you should wait for the next movement, i can relate of how eagerly we wait for the products to reach our home.

After getting customs clearance from Singapore, your order will get shipped to Manila, and there again they get to undergo customs clearance, it takes 1-2 days and then it is handed over to the 3rd party delivery service WHICH WOULD NOT BE MENTIONED IN TRACKING PAGE, it will display as shipment on hold, depending on what location you’re in they take time to deliver. For eg, Within manila maybe a day or Legazpi city, Bicol 1-2 days and so on

if you do not get the parcel please call the customer care and inquire them for the real time update.

Hello, i did receive my order on 25 jan 2021, well i ordered it on 8 jan 2021. The shipment was on hold at several points. and it was on hold for more than 3 days when it already finished the custom clearance at Manila. i called them to know what happened then i found out that they forwarded it to 3rd party service(at legazpi) to deliver my order. i was able to contact them and pickup my order to avoid further delay.

You can also call or contact dhl via their website.

Shipment on hold is very normal in the process (before shipping to Manila, during custom clearance and after custom clearance)

One thing i can assure you is, you will get your order atleast 1-2 weeks before the estimated delivery date. please be calm and contact dhl whenever you need to know the status. (call to their number to know the exact status which is not reflected on the tracking page)

We are in the same situation. I ordered MBA last March 27, it got shipped last April 6 and has been on hold since the same date in DHL Singapore until now. No movement nor update whatsoever. I have been reading comments in different websites and it seems normal. To be sure, I called DHL Philippines yesterday (April 12). They told me that Apple usually ships in bulk and there might be some paperwork that Apple needs to do. DHL advised to call Apple directly. So I did call Apple just now (April 13) to check if there are problems. They told me not to worry as they commit to deliver within the date promised. I would assume that if there are problems, they would contact you directly. With mine, it seems there are none. Contact DHL Philippines and/or Apple if you have further questions. UPDATE: I contacted DHL Care services on jan 13 2021, they informed me that they’re working closely with Apple to have our items shipped and should not be worried as they will be able to deliver our order within the given timeframe.

Jan 15 2021, Tracking details showed me “Processed” at Singapore-Singapore.

so with these let us believe that DHL will be able to ship from Singapore to Manila then soon to our homes within the given timeframe.

Hello, I guess it’s in the process of getting clearance from customs, you don’t need to worry. But for your peace of mind you can always call DHL Ph and ask the current status (they will mention about where exactly it is in the process).

and about the delivery, I ordered a phone on Jan 9 and it arrived to Legazpi by jan 23, it so happened there was a delay by 3rd party courier service (who usually deliver products on behalf of DHL), so I myself went to their office and collected it.

it doesn’t matter how many times they hold the product, bcs the product will be delivered to you before the estimated date by apple.

UPDATE: by 9:30AM of April 16, I got a text from AppleStore that my MBA will be delivered today. By 12nn, I already got it. I will provide the timeline below:

Mar 27: Order date

Apr 6: Shipment picked up in SG and shipment on hold

Apr 13: Processed and departed from facility in SG

Apr 14: Arrived, processed, and departed from facility in HK

Apr 15: Arrived, processed, and cleared in Manila, Ph

Apr 16: I got my item

I got my MBA a week before the promised delivery date of Apr 23. I hope you get yours soon, too. :)

Hello, Looking at your tracking details I guess the package will be in the DHL office prepared to hand over to the 3rd party for making a delivery or it might be already with the 3rd party delivery service. it is better to call DHL directly and ask the real time update for you to take further actions.

We are end users like you, not Apple, DHL, or customs officials. YOu will need need to contact one of those for an official answer.

Hi,

No you cannot track, but you can call DHL MNL for the real time update, and also you get the nearby 3rd party courier service contact details from DHL so you can ask for an update. And yes, It will be on hold until it is delivered (in my experience). I hope this helped. Thank you!

Hello! Thanks for sharing this! Will the contact info of both DHL and 3rd party courier just appear in the shipment tracking page when it gets Processed in Manila? My order just got Processed in Singapore as of today in the afternoon.

Hello Lyn, you don’t need to worry because whatever the payment we make on purchasing a new apple product, that billing actually includes everything. There is no such separate taxes upon receiving your order, no matter from what country/place it is being shipped. I hope this helped, thank you!

Wait! Why did they mention that? And where it was mentioned? But as what i am

aware regarding payments we are never entitled for paying these, once we do the payment on apple store that is all. I am sure contacting apple customer service or the courier service will enlighten you on that aspect. thank you

Hi. Can you tell me the contact info of DHL? Eto yung status ng item ko as of now e. Nasa office na kaya ng DHL yung item ko or wala pa? I am inclined on picking it up na lang kasi sa office nila to avoid further delay.

Hello,

I ordered my Macbook last March 31. Got shipped April 8 but it's been on hold until today. It's still on the number 2 part. I noticed for the one above after a day the first shipment on hold only took a day.. Was thinking of calling DHL Philippines and inquire, would you know if they'll be able to answer my query even if the item is still in Singapore?

I live in Naga City, Bicol btw. Hoping I receive it before said arrival date as well.
