Weird booting iphone 12 pro max

Hi,

I have a 3 days old iphone 12 pro max.

Installed it as a new iphone. When it boots it shows very briefly the apple logo then it goes black and finally it shows the apple logo again and Im in ios..

Apple support scanned the phone but no hardware issues.

Im a little concerned that in the future this is going to be an issue. After all, it is an expensive phone. What to do?

I filmed it, ignore the sound and fingerprints :)

The senior advisor indicates that this is something that software cannot be solved moderately and that it requires a repair or a replacement.

In addition, he also indicates that if there are no further problems with the iPhone, this is not necessarily something to worry about or that other problems may arise due to this phenomenon.

So now you have the choice to continue with a repair or replacement, or to accept it as there are no further problems with the iPhone besides glitching in the reboot.

I have the same problem as you. I purchased iPhone 12 Pro, I exchanged it the two days later. It's still a problem. I purchased iPhone 12 Pro Max last month, this phone starts up normal. Not sure if it's a software issue., but I am not going to keep this phone and have problems later. I will be returning this phone before my 14 day return window closes. if Apple does not release a software update to fix this.

Same here. I got the iPhone 12 Pro Max 2 days ago and everything was working fine until I turned off my phone to replace the screen protector. When I turned the phone on, the Apple Logo blinked then disappeared. After a few seconds, the Apple Logo came back and was displayed steadily until the phone completely powered up.

I was just concerned because this was the first time I've seen the Apple Logo blink. I also noticed that this is the new boot up "process" for my device everytime I turn the phone off and on. Not sure if I am going to ask for a replacement since other that this, the phone is fine. Just worried this might be an indication of other issues in the future.

IF Apple support told you there was no issues then what do you want us users, in these user to user technical forum to tell you?

Good info @roT-. My personal preference would be replacement but need to make sure the issue is not present in the new device. And unless there is some internal memo to the Apple stores about this, I doubt they will be opened to just replacing the phones from those of us who bought from our carriers instead.

To me, it's just a piece of mind thing as I do not switch phones every year. And I would hate for some real issue to pop up as a result after my warranty expires, even though I know Apple Support is second to none in terms of customer service and satisfaction.

Curious: are you from Apple Support and have access to iPhone engineers and/or iOS developers? Should we expect some more update on this, especially those of us with cases opened (and report forms submitted)? Just like @TimePilot, I would not mind knowing a bit more detail.

Thank you.
