I have a 3 days old iphone 12 pro max.
Installed it as a new iphone. When it boots it shows very briefly the apple logo then it goes black and finally it shows the apple logo again and Im in ios..
Apple support scanned the phone but no hardware issues.
Im a little concerned that in the future this is going to be an issue. After all, it is an expensive phone. What to do?
I filmed it, ignore the sound and fingerprints :)
Yeah because I digged really really deep on the internet. But cant find a thing about this phenomenon..

so you have a short flash of the apple logo? The same as in the movie? Most people I talk to and in a other forum dont have this when booting
It shows the logo for a few secs, turns black, and then it is ready :)
Well, it is not a few seconds.
it shows a milisecond the logo. Goes black for few seconds and then again apple logo and logon ios

Seems there are more and more similar reports coming in. I have 2 in my household with the same “problem”. Both brand new 12 Pros though, not Max.

and yes, this decive is way to expensive to have this kind of problems
Same, I will be returning my iPhone 12 Pro. I will wait before buying another new iPhone until this is fixed.

Confirmed that problem still persists even after upgrade to the just released iOS 14.4... (not that I would expect otherwise but thought I confirm anyway).
