Why when I answer my iPad for a FaceTime call
is there a loud screech and it keeps screeching I can’t get it to stop

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, when you answer a FaceTime call, you hear a loud noise coming from the device, do we have that right? Does it continue even after ending the call? Does it happen with multiple contacts or a specific contact?
You can force the FaceTime app to close and restart your iPad to see if this continues.
