Message blocking is active
Certain phone numbers, maybe droid phones only?, try to text messages to me and although I get the message, the sender receives a message “ unable to receive message - Message blocking is active”

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that certain contacts are getting a message that indicates messaging is blocked although you receive their messages.
Make sure that neither you or your contact have accidentally blocked the other. You can check your blocked contacts from Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts. Reference Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch if needed.
If neither of you have been blocked, use the guidance from If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch which can help although you are still getting these messages.
