How to I exit reply mode? I find it difficult to go back to my messages after replying individually to a specific message rather than replying to the whole conversation. After the message is sent I’m stuck on that individual side conversation and can’t get to the main conversation!

If we understand correctly, after replying to a specific message within a thread you're wanting to know how to go back to the main thread. You should be able to tap anywhere on the screen to exit the individual reply area to go back to the main thread: Reply to specific messages on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Thanks for those details. If you're tapping outside the reply, but still within the reply window, let's keep digging. Do you notice any display issues within other apps, or is this the only place? Do you use a screen protector with your iPhone, and if so, does removing it help?

Hello that would make sense but the reason why I was reaching out is because that does not work? I use this a lot and always I get stuck in this separate thread. Tapping away or tapping the contact name above does not take me back to the main text message again. I have to completely clear the activity by swiping off and then relaunching back in to my messages and conversation. It’s very frustrating and time consuming and I’m unsure why I can’t exit the reply in a faster usual way
