Deleting Facebook apps

After deciding that I don't want to be on Facebook any longer I deleted my account. I have since tried deleting the Facebook apps from my iPhone 12 Pro but I am unsuccesful so far. I long press the app icon to get it in jiggly mode. But when I Press 'delete app' I only have the option to 'delete app from home screen or cancel'.

I have tried going through the settings app to see if there was a way to delete the apps that way but no luck. It's for the Facebook and Messenger apps.

Can anyone help me delete them?

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

Are you sure that you are not pressing "Remove App" instead of "delete app"? AND it states that "Remove app from home screen or cancel".

Is it possible that you have Screen Time Restrictions set to ON? Double Check this:

Open Settings ➔ Screen Time ➔ Content & Privacy Restrictions ➔ iTunes & App Store Purchases ➔ Deleting Apps : Set this to Allow.
