Two versions of iTunes on Windows 10

Because I use iOS 9, I need an older version of iTunes for the App Store. However, the computer I use is not mine, it's my parents. They use the latest version of iTunes. The latest version of iTunes says I need to uninstall the older version. I don't want to have to uninstall the old version every time I am done. Can I use two versions of iTunes on Windows 10?

I've a strong suspicion that iTunes won't permit two parallel installations of two different versions even in separate user profiles, however if it possible at all then using the Microsoft Store version in one profile and traditional setup file for the, with each only being installed for the current user might make it possible. That said the current version of iTunes should be able to sync media to an iOS 9 device.

Hi Syncadrome_027,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you would like to use an older version of iTunes without uninstalling the latest version.

This may be possible if you set up another user account on this computer and install the latest iTunes version from there. We were able to locate Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10 which has guidance that can help set that up. If you need further assistance, Microsoft Support would be in the best position to help.

Take care.
