Problems printing from Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 to Samsung Xpress C480FW...weird characters, endless paper

Hello,

I saw this questioned asked before but has been a few years since anyone has tried to answer it. When I print from Catalina it just starts running off sheet after sheet with lines of random characters on the bottom. I've tried to force update the latest driver thinking that would do it. Doesn't appear to, but then I may not have uninstalled the old ones completely and am lost currently. The printer works OK when printing from a PC. Some browser based documents, like a PDF opened in a browser as opposed to Preview, seem to print. I'd love any guidance. Thanks,

Hey grantfromsaratoga,

We see you're having an issue printing from your Mac to your Samsung printer.

You've taken some great isolating steps so far, but we would like to confirm if you've reset the entire printing system? This process deletes all printers from your list of printers, deletes information about all completed print jobs, and deletes all printer presets.

Should the issue persist beyond that, and you've confirmed you're running the latest drivers, we'd recommend reaching out to Samsung directly for further assistance and confirmation of compatibility with macOS.
