My watch charger is faulty, what do I need to do to get a replacement?

Purchased an Apple Watch series 6 for my partner at Christmas, the charger has stoped working. What do I need to do and how can I get a replacement?

Start by checking to decide whether the fault is in the magnetic charging cable, or the AC power adaptor. The easiest test is to use a different power adaptor, any with a USB output socket which fits the charging cable will be fine. If the watch still doesn’t charge the fault is in the cable (or possibly in the watch itself). If it charges ok with a different power adaptor the fault is likely to be in the adaptor. To be sure you could also try using a different wall socket, just in case...
