There are up to 3 passwords for the AirPort Extreme.......

Base Station (device) password

Wireless Network password

Disk Password (for an attached hard drive)

Which of these do you want to reset?

If you do not know, tell us what you are trying to accomplish by resetting the password.

All things considered, it might be just as easy to reset the AirPort back to factory default settings and then set it up again. Might be a good idea to jot down the passwords that you assign and keep them in a safe place.

Just reset the router and start over.. that is the easiest way.

There are several passwords.. which one are you changing? Wireless, Admin, Sharing??

If it is just wireless then click airport icon in airport utility, click edit in the short summary.. click wireless in the main setup and type in the new password. When finished click update.. taint hard.
