How do I add a link to an icon or image in mail signatures. ?

I cannot add a link to a website, to an image in Mail signatures in Catalina but can easily do it in El Capitan. Does Catalina have this ability? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Hey Chris_C1,

Thank you for the response. It was helpful in that I am now able to add a link to text, with the font I choose. I was doing it in the wrong order earlier. First you create the link, then change the font.

However I am still unable to figure out how to add a link to a jpeg in my signature. When I drag a jpeg over the edit window does not allow me to add a link to the jpeg. Am I doing it in the wrong order or is there a certain format that an image must be? It was certainly possible in El Capitan but I cannot seem to accomplish this in Catalina.

Thanks in advance, Mark

I always had good luck with HTML signatures,

see this reference Catalina:

Hey there Mark,

We understand you'd like to add a link and image to your email signature in Mail on macOS Catalina, and we'd like to share a resource that can help.

Take a look at it here: Create and use email signatures in Mail on Mac

Specifically, this note under the "Create signatures" section may help:

"You can use the Edit or Format menus in Mail to change the font or layout, turn text into links, or check spelling. To add an image, drag it into the preview area."

Cheers!

Hey Leroydouglas,

Thanks for responding. I have seen this post before and it seems like a great deal to go through for what used to be a simple task in older OS's. I hope that is not the only method for creating a signature of this kind. In El Capitan and earlier I was simply able to link to an image. I am would be surprised( or maybe not) that http://matt.coneybeare.me/how-to-make-an-html-signature-in-apple-mail-for-macos-catalina-10-dot-15/ would be the only way to accomplish this simple task.

I do appreciate the response.
