How to Delete Orphan Ghost App Icons in Launchpad? Part 2

So, continuing on with this thread, I have always had a few "ghost" icons in launchpad that have no doubt followed me through data migrations to different MacBooks/iMacs etc. Today it just really bugged me so I thought I would do something about it.

I tried searching through all files (plists etc) for the tag I was trying to find. Nothing. Then out of the blue I thought I would just punch in (in this case) "Google" in Search This Mac and low and behold there it was. It showed up as an Application but was nowhere to be seen in /Applications or ~/Applications. Anywho, deleted them and voila! they disappeared from Launchpad.

As a side note, during my research period I had also discovered just how evil Google Chrome is and decided to remove that entirely from my system. YMMV of course, but I don't like programs that spy on me.

:)

Anyway, I hope this is useful to someone.
