Iphone 12 pro max stops charging when I lift the cable

I just bought a new 2m charging cable from apple for my iPhone 12 pro max. Just noticed that sometimes when I lift my phone to use while it’s charging, or when the cable gets jostled, the phone’s charging stops. I have to sometimes shake the cable gently to get it started again. Both my cable and the apple 20W wall charger are new. Could there be something wrong with my cable? :(

I would say

dirt and or lint in the iphone connector interfere
the cable is periodic defect
the connector in the ios device is periodic defect
