It's about the following: I have a DV handicam from Sony. in the previous version of MacOs and QT (Catalina and QT 10.4) I had to convert my Mini DV's from Dvv format to Qt format . I thought I had to do it also with macOS Big Sur, but now I can import the Dv format straight into iMovie. I think ( I'm sur) that the problem has now a solution.

To get started, if you attempt to export a movie as a different format using the steps listed in the following resource, is that able to help: Export movies to other file formats and resolutions using QuickTime Player on Mac

Works for me (just tried it). Although some QT Player 7 Pro advanced features are missing. Convert to what?
