Final Cut Pro X 10.5 is not responding

Final Cut Pro X 10.5 stopped working this morning. I've already uninstalled Final Cut Pro and re installed the program. Still not responding. I'm on 2020 iMac. My hardware has over 920 GB available. What are my next steps?

Delete preferences.

To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences.

The application will start in a default state, and open an "Untitled" library. Reopen the library you were working on, set the preferences the way you like them, and try again.

If the application does not start, even after deleting preferences, we will need to know more.

Please download Etrecheck (free from the App Store), run it and post its full report here, using the "additional text" button

Try this in your normal account:

Start Final Cut Pro while holding down the Option key.

Do you see a dialog asking you to choose a library? Choose to open a new library and see if that works.

I am thinking that maybe you were using an "Untitled" library all the time, it may have become corrupted, and that is maybe why FCP is failing. By the way, what exactly was happening when you tried to start FCP in your account? Any error message?
