Normally this might be caused by call forwarding set up on your home phone. However, then all calls to that number would forward, so check with your home phone provider.
When you call the number from your SE does your home phone ring, or does a stranger pick up?
I’m assuming you are using the built-in Phone app, and not Google Voice, Skype or some other VOIP service.

That sounds like a carrier problem, then. Call your carrier’s tech support.
The problem was setting on Voip Ooma we called them and got the problem corrected. Thanks for entertaining my problem and your suggestions.
I doubt very much that it has anything to do with your phone. As a test can you try a SIM card from a friend’s or family member’s phone?
Home phone does not ring and no one picks up. I only use Apple software for phone. Verizon for our carrier.
Maybe I should buy a new replacement cell phone.
l may see if a new sim card would correct the problem.
That doesn’t make any sense. Are you entering your home phone number on the keypad, but it is dialing a different number? Are you using the built in phone app, or a VOIP app such as Google Voice?
Entered on keypad also from contacts. Cannot call home number from iPhone se it dials the same number which is unknown to us. We use only Apple software.
