Epson ET2760 printer shows as offline with my Mac running OS Big Sur

Why does my Epson printer frequently show as "offline"? It's a new printer and has worked well even up to yesterday. But today it shows "offline". I haven't made any changes to my OS or to the printer settings.

Anyone having this issue? What's the fix?
