Opening SD card on iMac

When I put an SD micro with an adapter in the SD slot on the back it doesn’t seem to be opening up. I have some movies I want to download onto my iMac. Any suggestions?

SD card won't open on iMac Hello, can anyone advise on this please? I've just bought an iMac and a Ugreen adapter for SD card and USB flash memory. The Mac will show the adapter in Finder, but when I open the SD folder my film clips do not display. Nothing appears. However, the SD cards still work just fine on my MacBook. I have no problem with the flash drives on the adapter. I have, of course, tried all the ports. I am not sure where the problem lies. I'm not very technically minded.

macbook air 2013 microsdxc card I have a MacBook Air 13" 2013. I also have a SanDisk microSDXC card I would like to view on this MacBook. There is no slot for it. How can I view pics and videos stored on card on this computer? Also, how can I transfer pics and videos from the computer to that SD card once I know where to put it? Thanks.

if it does not show up in finder then I would test it with other computers macs and or windows computers to verify if the sd card was damaged or if it's data had been corrupted

Also, do you have your Finder preferences set to show external drives, etc on your desktop?
