Yes, Try this Link for the Whole Suite: Buy Office Home & Student 2019 - Microsoft Store
HI, Thank you for your timely replies, much appreciated.
Yes, I did see that. It says $69.99/Year.
So I can't buy excel (or MS 365) without a yearly or monthly cost.
If that is correct. I'll just learn Apple Numbers.
Thanks again!

It appears you are not reading what is at the links you were provided. Office 365 is a subscription product. But on the same page in the link provided is the Office 2019 one-time purchase option.
If you are working collaboratively in an office or school environment and everyone but you is using Excel you will not be compatible.

Excuse me?
Can you tell me how I can obtain MS Excel, alone. or in a suite, for a ONE TIME payment?

O N E T I M E payment.
Is this possible?
As has been mentioned a few times already. To get the Microsoft Office suite for a one time purchase, select the 2019 Home and Student option from the link provided several times already.
Here it is again: link-> Buy Microsoft Home and Student - Microsoft.com
Ok this link, does not seem to require that I provide my school or office affiliation to qualify for a one-time purchase.
A previous link I looked at did ask for that.
Ok, . I will see if I have the equipment to make that software work.
My MacBook Air is 2012 vintage and MacBook Pro is 2015.
thanks for your patience.

There is no affiliation required. It is a "HOME" and student version. Please read the info at the links carefully.
Both the link recently provided that you say works and the one I provided in the very first reply to this topic several days ago lead to the essentially the same product, Office Home & Student 2019. When I click "checkout" it doesn't ask for student verification, it just asks me to log into my Microsoft account which is the same for pretty much anything you use for Microsoft just as it you would need an Apple ID to buy anything from Apple. I have a Hotmail address from 15+ years ago so it actually defaults to that.
I don't remember if Excel was ever sold on its own. Maybe 20+ years ago? Certainly not in the past decade or so.

Chatting it MS, here is what I came across:
As it reads:
Excel
Microsoft Corporation
• For 1 PC or Mac
• Turn data into useful insights
• Compatible with Windows 10 or macOS
Office 365 subscription and purchase --> https://products.office.com/buy/compare-microsoft-office-products-for-mac
Thanks but Cant I get Excel, or the whole suite if necessary, for a one time purchase?
I don't want a subscription or yearly fee.
I don't know the details of what is available from Microsoft. I use the free LibreOffice suite. Of course Apple has Numbers which you can download from the App Store.
Ask the makers of Excel.
Did you read the link I provided? On the right it says "buy" a copy. I provided this information in the first response to this topic yesterday.
Unfortunately I do not qualify for the working collaboratively in an office or school environment rule.
On to Apple Numbers.
It appears you did not understand anything you were told in this thread. Numbers is an option. Best of luck.
