Old email

im currently locked out of my account because I downloaded the update and the email I’m using is old and I no longer have access to it but It also won’t let me log into the alternate email I’m using.

It sounds like you have two-factor authentication set up on your device and its trying to send a code to an email address you no longer have access to. You can see the different methods of getting a verification code sent to you from Apple in this article:


Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication


You mentioned that you aren't able to log in to an alternate email address you are using. If the verification code is being sent there, you would want to work with the email provider to regain access to that account if you're having trouble with your account username or password.


If you are unable to get the code, please contact Apple Support directly to speak with our Apple ID team to look into the issue further: Get Support
