buzzing noise through speakers when MBP connected to external monitor

I know I am opening an old discussion, but now its me facing the problem.

I am running a MBP 15' i9 with Presonus Studio 68c and Steinberg UR22mkII. Both are making those static noises through my Focal's when I touch the pad/mouse or a keyboard. The external monitor is DELL3219Q and I connected them through the USB-C with the original cable. I have a PC with RME HDSP connected to the same screen via the HDMI and it is as quiet as it should be. When I disconnect the monitor the problem disappears. Have anyone found a solution ?

Hello Exbar,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It's important to make sure your audio works as expected! We understand that you're hearing static through third-party speakers when you touch parts of your Mac, and we're happy to see if we can assist.

To double-check, are these Bluetooth-equipped speakers? If so, it might be worth reviewing this as a start: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

Also, to narrow this down a bit, are you able to replicate this through your internal speakers, or only the Focal speakers?

As another possibility, is your Mac connected to power when this occurs? Have you tried a different outlet?

Let us know! The answers to the above should help in working out helpful next steps.

Take care.
